Elected & Appointed Alums

Leaders All.

Emerge Vermont trained women are in office in unprecedented numbers and are changing the face of Vermont government at every level. Today, 42% of Vermont legislators are women—thanks to our alums. Today there are 6 women of color in the Legislature—one more than all who have served in all of Vermont history—and 4 of them are affiliated with Emerge Vermont. Currently alums from our Signature Training Program and bootcamps, as well as women who attended one-day workshops, hold a total of 132 elected or appointed statewide, legislative, and local offices all over Vermont.
