Emerge Vermont’s 2025 Celebration of Women in Politics
September 18, 2025 6:00 pm Eastern Time (EST)
Emerge Vermont will host our Annual Celebration of Women in Politics at the Pizzagalli Center for Art at Shelburne Museum on Thursday, September 18th at 6 PM.
We have a special reason to celebrate this year: 2025 is the 40th anniversary of the inauguration of Governor Madeleine M. Kunin, Vermont’s first and (so far!) only woman governor, and founder of Emerge Vermont.
That’s not all we’ll celebrate! From Vermont’s first woman Congressperson to our Secretary of State and Attorney General to the 34 alums and trainees serving in the Legislature to the scores of alums serving on selectboards and school boards across the state, we’re incredibly proud of our impact.
A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Kunin Achievement Award—we’ll announce the recipient soon!
For 12 years, Emerge Vermont has made a difference. Women’s representation in government has increased significantly since Governor Madeleine Kunin brought her vision to life in 2013. And we’re not done!
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Emerge Vermont will raise a glass to the success of our alums, honor our wonderful Kunin Achievement Award recipient, and come together to celebrate the impact Governor Madeleine M. Kunin has had on our state. We will gather at the Pizzagalli Center for Art at the Shelburne Museum (6000 Shelburne Road, Shelburne) at 6 PM. Join us for a night of gratitude and celebration!
