Read moreAshley Messier (she/her) is currently the Re-entry Services Program Manager for Vermont Works for Women, leading a community-based pilot program to support previously incarcerated women to successfully reintegrate into the community. She spent time incarcerated at Vermont’s women’s facility, Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, and is the founding executive director of the Women’s Justice and Freedom Initiative. Ashley serves as a commissioner for the Vermont Commission on Women and as co-chair of the Corrections Monitoring Committee. Ashley also served on the Vermont Human Trafficking Task Force. Ashley brings vast lived experience paired with professional and political experience to her platform. She wants all Vermonters to experience safe and thriving communities. Ashley has a deep love for community. In her free time she loves reading and spending time with her family.
