Before coming to Vermont she was a prosecutor in rural Colorado, where she worked to expand restorative justice and diversionary programs, particularly for young people. She grew up in New York City, and made frequent visits to Vermont to visit family here. She and her husband moved to Vermont to be closer to family and still in the mountains. Eliza serves on the board of trustees of the Vermont State Employee’s Association, and on the Housing Task Force in Waterbury, where she lives. In her free time, you can find her in the woods, on skis, bikes or foot.
