Read moreBringing heart, hearth and community together is a key value of Erin Barry’s. She is a courageous creatrix, a wise woman dedicated to bringing rural and urban Vermont communities together. An active member of the Capital City Grange she directs the monthly Kids Trade and Play service, holds the Vice Chair position on the Twinfield Union school board, and co-creates the social enterprise business ‘Tis Twixt. At home, Erin shares farm life with three kids, husband, calendula flowers, the Winooski river, three goats, two sheep, six chickens, two cats and a sheep dog. Erin’s extensive service in the community through advocation, facilitation, birthing babies and providing clothing and gear for low income families, alongside her social enterprise activities lend to the valuable and mindful contributions she brings to the Emerge program. Erin Barry leads with a deeply embedded know-how of community action, she will represent the hard working voices of community workers who are bettering the lives of Vermonters by representing social justice and community resilience as an answer to a just and hopeful future.
