At Booz Allen Hamilton, she led strategic initiatives in support of Government clients and co-created a firm-wide policy map framework for cyber, financial, and health markets. Julie later transitioned to become a full-time special needs parent and advocate, developing expertise in special education services while maintaining her commitment to civic engagement. Her public service over the last decade included roles as Planning Commissioner and Transportation Safety Commissioner in Vienna, VA, where she championed pedestrian safety initiatives and smart growth policies geared toward housing affordability. Now settled in Burlington, VT with her family of five and two golden retrievers, Julie continues to enjoy hiking, cooking, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends. Julie holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (M.S., Public Policy and Management) and George Mason University (B.A., Government and International Politics).
