Read moreSharon Richards is a retired career educator, librarian, and educational development professional. She was a School Library Media Specialist and a Public Librarian working with students in Charlotte, Shelburne, Hancock, and Granville, as well as a founding member of the Green Mountain Book Award and the Friends of DCF (now Golden Dome Award) for the State of Vermont Department of Libraries. Sharon was a Development Associate for the Lake Champlain Waldorf School and served on its Board as Chair of Development & Recruitment. Her interest in gender equity issues began as a college volunteer at the SUNY Women’s Center and she has been an advocate for these issues ever since. She has lived and worked in Vermont for 27 years, having raised two daughters here and is now blessed with two Vermonter grandchildren.
