Emilie Krasnow

Emilie was born and raised here in Vermont. She was born in Middlebury, grew up in Charlotte, and now calls South Burlington her home. Emilie grew up in a political environment and started door knocking at the age of 7 when her father was first elected to the Vermont legislature in 1994. Emilie works professionally as an Electoral and Public Policy strategist. Previously, Emilie worked at the Vermont State House as an assistant in the Senate for four years and then four years in the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

Emilie studied leadership and management at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business, and recently finished a fellowship with EMILY’s List. She gives presentations at Vermont high schools and colleges promoting civic engagement, is a member of the South Burlington Rotary club (serving on the Community Service Committee), and serves on the ASPIRE, South Burlington Library Foundation Volunteer Committee, and the South Burlington Housing Trust Committee. She is Vice Chair of the Chittenden County Democratic Committee, Secretary of the South Burlington Democratic Committee and Vice President of Democracy Creative. She was the Fmr. County Chair for Rights and Democracy and Fmr. Event Chair Vermont Autism Task Force, and is a proud member of the Campaign Workers Guild Union (CWG). Emilie volunteers at local and statewide food shelves, Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, affordable housing coalitions, Rights and Democracy, and has volunteered and worked on over a dozen municipal, county, statewide, and federal campaigns.

In her spare time Emilie enjoys trail walking with her senior dog Randy, Vermont river swimming, listening to music, writing, film, political discourse, spending time with family and friends, and organizing community events.
