Within her clinical practice she focuses her work on providing mental health supports for a variety of individuals, particularly women going through perinatal experiences (fertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum). Her work centers around the intersection of feminist theory, creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals, and guiding individuals towards empowerment within themselves. Venessa’s hopes for political involvement are to give voice to families in Vermont, support for marginalized youth, and continuing to advocate for others. In her free time, she can be found reading, listening/singing music, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
