Emerge Vermont’s 2022 Legislator Toolkit Series

December 05, 2022 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Eastern Time (EST)

We’re back! Emerge Vermont’s Legislator Toolkit Series provides relevant professional development and essential information for elected legislators!

Being a legislator—especially a newly elected, first-time legislator—requires knowledge and understanding of the many issues the Legislature works on during the biennium. It can be hard to get up to speed—you need an entire staff but you’re just one legislator!

Emerge Vermont’s Legislator Toolkit Series can help.

This is a short series of online webinars designed specifically for you, our alum legislators. This year we’re bringing in experts to help you build your knowledge base on four key topics likely to be addressed by the Legislature this year: childcare, climate change, education taxes, and retirement.

Please join us in December for three great professional development opportunities:

Monday, December 5th at 6 pm

Education Taxes 101 with Rep. Emilie Kornheiser, Public Assets Institute, and VT NEA

Wednesday, December 7th at 6 pm

Climate Change 101 with Vermont Conservation Voters, Vermont Natural Resources Council & former Rep. Tim Briglin

Wednesday, December 14th at 6 pm

Child Care 101 with Let’s Grow Kids & Rep. Jessica Brumsted

Register for 1 or 2 sessions for $25 each, or register for all 3 for $50!

For a registration link, email elaine@emergevt.org.

This series is for elected alum legislators only. This training is available at a fair market rate in compliance with campaign finance law. Candidates and campaigns can use campaign funds to pay for this training.
